The Cape To Cape Track

The Cape to Cape Track is situated in the far SW corner of Western Australia.  It runs 135 kilometres along the spine of the Leeuwin-Naturaliste Ridge, between the two lighthouses of Cape Naturaliste and Cape Leeuwin. It is renown for its spectacular coastal scenery, wildflower displays, geology, maritime history and surfing beaches.

This part of Australia has a Mediterranean climatic regime so we timed our walk for early March before the cool wet weather had really set in. We had a few hot days but the latter part of the walk was pleasantly cool and overcast. It is not a physically demanding walk apart from the long sections of trudging through soft sand.
