These are nature records on Australian fauna and flora as well as my particular interest in the geology and geomorphology of the our landscape. Our family has been fortunate to be members of the Chinchilla Field Nats Group for many decades. The group collectively has a significant expertise in areas of natural history ranging from botany, astronomy, birdwatching, reptiles, insects and even fungi. Their members have written and published a number of high quality field guides relating to Queensland’s semi-arid interior. They have regular monthly field outings, and major extended outings to remote and interesting landscapes. Our family has been fortunate to see many out of the way places in outback Queensland with the Chinchilla Nats. The monthly newsletter, Urimbirra, is a treasure trove of recordings about Australia’s fauna and flora.
